CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Susan G. Willard, LCSW, BCD, has worked in the field of eating disorders for over 20 years. Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the Tulane University School of Medicine and Professor Emeritus in Psychiatry, she first developed her specialized program in 1982. Since that time, Ms. Willard has become known for her patient advocacy and her commitment to quality care. Her pioneering treatment philosophy, prolific lecturing, and clinical research have distinguished her professionally and fostered her national reputation of excellence in the field. In 2001, The Eating Disorders Treatment Center opened at River Oaks Hospital, representing the pinnacle of her work. The center offers the ultimate in state of the art, comprehensive treatment for eating disorders.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

George C. Daul, Jr., MD, is a board certified psychiatrist and an eating disorders specialist. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Tulane University School of Medicine. He and Susan Willard have worked together since 1987; their collective expertise has served to assist thousands of eating disordered patients from across the country in their recovery. Dr. Daul is experienced and skilled in the inpatient management of eating disorders and is an expert in the psycho-pharmacological aspects of treatment.

SENIOR NUTRITIONIST

Linda Ponder, MS, LDN, RD is a Nutritionist with River Oaks Hospital. She earned a B.S. degree in Dietetics from Louisiana State University and a M.S. degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Texas Woman's University. Linda is a Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and has seventeen years of experience in the field of nutrition. Linda has a private practice in Baton Rouge and New Orleans where she treats outpatients with Eating Disorders.

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Marion McGavran, GSW, obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. She began working at River Oaks Hospital in 2003 and assumed the position of Program Director on the Eating Disorders Unit in January of 2006.
